Spyware Information: AceSpy
This program is a key logger. It runs on your computer at all times and records all the keyboard keys you press. Although keyloggers could have some benefits (allowing you to recover work that was lost), in practice they are used to spy on people. Since they capture everything you type, your passwords, credit card numbers, and personal correspondence can all be recorded by key loggers. Some key loggers are designed only for spying, trying to make it difficult for the user to discover the program is running.

- Method of infection: AceSpy is a retail product and must be installed locally onto the host computer. It would most likley be installed by someone with physical access to the computer.
- Privacy issues: AceSpy creates a number of privacy issues. First and foremost it's a key logging program and will record keystrokes from various programs. AceSpy will keep track of which applications have been launched as well as tracking items copied to the system clipboard. It captures screen shots at regular intervals. AceSpy also has the ability to email this information to a specified email address.
