- Method of infection: YourSiteBar.ActiveX is a newer version of the YourSiteBar hijacker. It can be installed via drive-by download from some websites or downloaded from some Integrated Search Technologies/CDT affiliated sites.
- Advertising: YourSiteBar.ActiveX creates popup advertisements while you're browsing. It also creates a toolbar with a search button.
- Privacy issues: YourSiteBar.ActiveX collects large amounts of information aobut your web-surfing habits. In its privacy policy it maintains that by collecting all this information it may collect personally-identifiable information. Their website says they sell only the aggregate data from their users, not the personally-identifiable information.
