This application is spyware. Spyware software generally does not provide any services to you; rather, it is primarily designed to watch you as you use your computer or surf the Internet, and report this information to hackers, advertising companies or other individuals who have placed the spyware on your computer.
Spyware is often bundled with free software. The company which produces the free software gets paid by advertising companies for each computer that becomes "infected" with the spyware. To protect their revenue, the free software companies will sometimes force you to run the advertising spyware to use their free software.

- Method of infection: Program is downloaded from the www.pickup-ecards.com website.
Upon entering an email address, the user is prompted to install the program.
- Privacy issues: An FTP address is stored in the registry of the host computer. The program may be uploading personal information to this FTP server.
- Security issues: Pickup-ECards utilizes the Infostealer.Bankash.A trojan to steal login information for online banking sites. This is an extremely serious security threat. If your computer is infected with Pickup-ECards, do not use it to conduct any financial transactions until the trojan has been eliminated.
