Spyware Information: Backdoor.AML
This is a back door application. Such software hides on your computer and gives someone else (a hacker or other unauthorized user) access to everything on your computer. The "back door" is generally so large that the unauthorized user will have access to everything -- often times, he can even see what's on your screen and use your computer just as you would. For this reason, these applications represent a very serious security and privacy risk.

- Privacy policy: None.
- Security issues: Backdoor.AML opens port 4668 for SMTP service on infected computers so it can send and receive email from its creator, and ports 6079 and 5262 for other instructions to be sent by hackers.
Backdoor.AML also tries to access a cologroup.com user website and input information (specifically, the country and time zone of the infected computer) to a perl script. This information could possibly be used for a distributed denial-of-service attack.
