Spyware Information: Hotmail Spammer GEN 4
This application is a launcher. Launchers serve the simple purpose of starting other applications, and they are particularly useful for viruses and spyware in resisting deletion. In some cases, aggressive software will install a launcher when it runs. If anti-virus or anti-spyware software later detects and disables the aggressive software, but the launcher is not recognized and is left alone, the launcher will reinstall the aggressive software, defeating the efforts to erase it. In this way, launchers serve as a lifeline for malicious software. Any attempt to remove the malicious software itself must also recognize the launcher and disable it simultaneously.
