Spyware Information: DDoSPing

This application is a probe. It will use your network or Internet connection to search for vulnerabilities in other computers. Once a vulnerability is found, the application could report it to a hacker allowing him to break into the system. Probes are also used to find "hidden" resources. For example, if you are working inside a company and there is a way to access confidential data from the Internet, the probe will help hackers discover that way.

Although you may not have anything to do with probing, your computer may have been compromised by a hacker and may be used for probing without your knowledge. This is common practice for hackers, because the probe can be traced to the computer that is running it. By having the probe run on your computer, any efforts to discover the perpetrator will lead back to you.
